Sweep Backdrops

5×9’ (1.52×2.74m) (w×h) Sweep is our smallest sweep available. This sweep is appropriate for kids, pets, headshots and 3/4 -length portraits; It is also ideal for photographers who work in narrow spaces or a small home studio.

5×9’ Sweeps vary greatly by design. They can have approximately 4.5‘ to 6.5’ height of backdrop and 2.5 to 4.5’ depth of floor. It is equivalent to a 5.5x5‘ (h×w) backdrop and a 4.5x5’ (h×w) floor. Every backdrop is slightly different and can vary by approximately 12-12.5”.

You will need a studio space with a minimum ceiling height of 6’* to accommodate an 5×9’ sweep on a traditional backdrop stand. (w×h)

8×14' Sweeps are the smallest sweep suitable for full-length portraits. They’re ideal for photographing children, small groups, and family portraits. The DreamSweep system is ideal for photographers seeking a consistent, professional curve without floor seams or height variation.

Fabric sweeps of this size provide approximately 7–7.5' of backdrop height and 7–7.5' of floor depth, which is roughly equivalent to using a 7×8' backdrop with a 7×8' floor. Each design may vary slightly, typically by about 12–12.5 inches.

The DreamEasy DreamSweep is a fixed-frame silicone edge system designed for seamless floor-to-wall transitions. It provides an exact backdrop height of 7.5 feet and a floor depth of approximately 7.2 feet, forming a perfectly curved, continuous sweep.

To use an 8×14' sweep on a traditional backdrop stand, your studio should have a minimum ceiling height of at least 7.5 feet, though additional clearance is recommended for comfortable setup.

Because the DreamEasy frame stands at a full 7.5 feet tall, your studio will need a ceiling height greater than 7.5 feet to allow for proper setup and clearance.

9×14' (2.74 × 4.27m) (w×h) Sweeps are the smallest sweep appropriate
for full-length portraits of adults, while providing an additional foot
of width compared to the 8×14' sweep. Portraits of children, small groups, and family portraits can be comfortably taken on this size.

9×14’ Sweeps have approximately 7-7.5’ height of backdrop and 7-7.5’ depth of floor. It is equivalent to a 7×9‘ (hxw) backdrop and a 7×9’ (hxw) floor. Every backdrop is slightly different and can vary by approximately 12-12.5”.

9×14' sweeps are available in Premium and Dream Fleece.

10×16' Sweeps are ideal for full-length portraits, families, large groups, and extended compositions.

Fabric sweeps of this size provide approximately 7–7.5' of backdrop height and 8–8.5' of floor depth, giving you ample room for posing and camera distance. This setup is roughly equivalent to using a 7×10' backdrop with an 8×10' floor, though each design may vary slightly (typically by about 12–12.5 inches).

The DreamEasy DreamSweep is a seamless, silicone edge system engineered for a flawless floor-to-wall transition. It provides an exact backdrop height of 7.5 feet and a floor depth of approximately 9.2 feet, forming a continuous, curved sweep with no visible seam.

To use a 10×16' sweep on a traditional backdrop stand, your studio should have a minimum ceiling height of at least 7.5 feet, though additional clearance is recommended for setup and lighting placement.

10×20’ (3.04 × 6.10m) (w×h) Sweep is our largest sweep size and is appropriate for full-length portraits, dancers that need height and group and family portraits.

It is equivalent to a 10×10’ backdrop and a 10×10’ floor. Every backdrop is slightly different and can vary by approximately 12”.

You will need a studio space with a minimum ceiling height of 10.25’* to accommodate a 10×20’ sweep on a traditional backdrop stand. 10×20’ Sweeps have approximately 10’ height of backdrop and 10’ depth of floor.
